Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ScholarXP Middle ("the app"), provided by ScholarXP Middle ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who May Use This App

ScholarXP Middle is designed for students in grades 6–8 (approximately ages 11–14). All accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old. Children may not create their own accounts. By creating an account, you confirm that you are a parent or guardian and that you are authorizing your child's use of the app.

2. Account Responsibilities

As the account holder, you (the parent or guardian) are responsible for:

Keeping your login credentials (email and password) secure and confidential
All activity that occurs under your account, including your child's use of the app
Ensuring your child uses the app appropriately and in accordance with these Terms
Notifying us immediately at support@getscholarxp.com if you believe your account has been compromised

3. Acceptable Use

The app is provided for personal, non-commercial educational use only. You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its infrastructure
Interfere with or disrupt the app's operation
Use the app to harass, harm, or collect information about others
Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the app without permission

4. Content

All educational content in the app — including activities, book lists, and discussion prompts — is provided for general educational purposes. We make no guarantee that any content meets specific school curriculum standards. Book report answers and other text entered by your child remain private to your account and are not reviewed by us.

5. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete my account). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, all associated data is permanently deleted.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

ScholarXP Middle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, error-free, or meet any specific educational outcome. Use of the app is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScholarXP Middle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which, for a free app, is zero).

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email (at the address associated with your account) before they take effect. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in good faith. If you have a concern, please contact us first at the email below.
